Representative Bruce Williamson

State Representative Bruce Williamson represents House District 112, which includes parts of Gwinnett and Walton Counties. He serves on multiple committees, including Banks & Banking; Energy, Utilities, & Telecommunications; Insurance; Regulated Industries; Rules; Transportation; and Ways & Means. He also serves as the House Majority Caucus Chair.

Bruce was born and raised in Monroe, Georgia. He attended Furman University, where he played football and earned a B.A. in Business Administration. He furthered his education at the University of Georgia, where he specialized in risk management and insurance. Bruce has established a successful business career in Walton County, owning and managing Williamson Insurance Agency, Inc., and Williamson Investments Group, LLC. Additionally, he co-founded and chairs the boards of Walton Bank and Trust Company and Liberty First Bank of Monroe.

With Bruce’s business experience, he is a go-to person for legislation related to monetary and insurance policy. He has worked on many important bills to lower income taxes and reform tort law, among other efforts.

Bruce and his wife, Vickie, are blessed with four sons, all Eagle Scouts; two daughters-in-law; and four precious grandchildren.
