Biography

Greg Dolezal grew up the son of a public school teacher and a paper salesman, spending summers on his family’s farm where he learned the value of hard work — and the occasional sunburn. A lifelong entrepreneur, Greg has founded and led successful businesses in manufacturing, health care, technology, and service industries, employing hundreds of Georgians along the way. His talent for problem-solving also led him to develop software used by organizations ranging from The White House and the NFL to Gulfstream Jets, The Olympics, and Chick-fil-A.

Greg and his wife, Natalie, have been married for 18 years and are raising their four children in Forsyth County. Before entering public service, Greg spent more than a decade in ministry — first on staff at North Point Church, then as tour manager for Grammy-winning Christian artist Chris Tomlin, and later as part of the small team that launched Passion City Church in Atlanta. He continues to help produce Passion Conferences, which bring together tens of thousands of Christian college students from around the world each year.

When property taxes and traffic gridlock began spiraling out of control at home, Greg decided to get involved locally. In 2018, the people of Forsyth County overwhelmingly elected him to the Georgia State Senate. He now serves as Chairman of the Senate Transportation Committee, Vice Chairman of the Appropriations Committee, and, by appointment of Lt. Governor Burt Jones, sits on the influential Committee on Assignments.

Greg has consistently been ranked among Georgia’s most conservative and effective legislators. His leadership has earned recognition including the Greater Georgia Lawmaker of the Year Award, Frontline Policy Legislative Achievement Award, James Magazine Exceptional Lawmaker, and acknowledgment from the Center for Legislative Accountability as one of Georgia’s most effective lawmakers. He was also personally thanked by President Trump for his work on election integrity.

Greg has authored and passed multiple landmark bills signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp, including the Georgia Promise Scholarship Act, the Riley Gaines Act, and legislation banning DEI mandates in K–12 schools.
